My favorite thing any member of KISS ever did to this day…and I grew up listening to them in the 70s! Yeah their show was an epic spectacle unlike anything else at that time and yeah…it was fun pump your fist in the air Rock’n Roll! But the layers of this song, the perfect arrangement starting with that bell and acoustic guitar then building to an electric frenzy-all while that addictively beautiful melody continues underneath… Only to return to the quiet contemplative beginning! Ace & his engineer blew it out of the stratosphere! …and it’s still a grabber that must be repeated today.

That riff is hypnotic

I love the Ozzy version of Black Sabbath, but for my money, this is easily one of my favorite of their tracks and Born Again is one of my favorite albums, excluding Digital Bitch. Oddly, I've never heard this song through headphones, despite having bought the cassette format when it first dropped way back in '83. The whole time, I've been completely unaware of an, I guess call it an apocalyptic low growl throughout the whole song. I've heard this song on so many devices over the years, and it's never been there for me until now, after 43 years of listening to it. I thought I heard something odd about it while I had it playing, which was my only reason for getting out the headset. I would liken it to the outro between Metallica's "Fight Fire With Fire" and "Ride the Lightning". Even through headphones I still wasn't completely convinced of this apocalyptic growl until I slowed the play speed down to ½.

62 yrs old, STILL crank this tune. This is the tune I will die to when this world ends. Tells an AWESOME story of the pending doom of people as a society in my eyes and mother nature being the sun takes it back from man and it's corruption. RIP Ronnie James Dio, gone but never forgotten. Real music, real Lyrics never to reproduced again on this planet. LOOK OUT? The sun is going Black, Black! Look out? It's NEVER NEVER NEVER coming Back, LOOK OUT? One of the best song ending's in rock music history for me.
